Wellness Days Schedule
Spring 2024
In an effort to efficiently meet the needs of our clients and patients this spring, we are introducing “Wellness Days” These are especially designed to help our clients who are located over 30 minutes from our clinic and don’t have the benefit of splitting a call charge by boarding at a large barn.
We have planned specific days for one of our doctors to provide preventative medicine/wellness services to a limited geographic area. Because we can consolidate our appointments, save on drive time, and save on fuel costs, we can pass those savings on to our individual clients by offering a significantly reduced call charge.
Services
In order to improve efficiency and service as many clients as possible, available services will be limited at these appointments. These services will be billed at our standard rates in addition to the call charge, unless otherwise noted. There will be two types of appointment days, depending on the services we will be able to provide.
Level 1: Wellness exam (reduced cost, $40), brief oral exam, fecal egg count, vaccines, Coggins, other bloodwork
Level 2: All the services included in level 1, plus dental floats and sheath cleanings.
Call Charges
A significantly reduced call charge will be offered, per owner, during Wellness Days, depending on location. ($40 for towns within our emergency radius; $60 for towns outside our emergency radius). This call charge will be honored if at least 8 total owners schedule their horses on the same Wellness Day. If less than 8 owners have scheduled an appointment on the same day as you, you will be notified and a small fee may be added to the call charge; however, the cost of the call charge will always be less than your typical “in-area” call charge.
Scheduling
Please see the chart below to find out when our vets will be in your region, then call the office to schedule your appointment! If you don’t see your town but are still interested in an appointment, please call the office so we can try to help you. Be prepared by knowing what services you are interested in for your horses. Your date of service is guaranteed, and we can estimate a time frame for your appointment 24-48 hours prior to your appointment date. If your horse needs other services performed, we will have dates available to schedule a follow-up appointment in your area.
