Emily Tuttle, DVM

Dr. Emily Tuttle grew up in Durham, Connecticut, where she began taking riding lessons in elementary school. She discovered her interest in veterinary medicine through studying for and competing in national 4-H horse bowl and hippology competitions.

Emily completed her undergraduate studies at Alfred University, where she also rode on the equestrian team. She earned her veterinary degree at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her favorite part of vet school was actually working at the Wildlife Hospital, where she was able to treat everything from bald eagles to baby snapping turtles (a personal favorite). After vet school, she loved spending her internship year at the Equine Clinic at Oakencroft in Glenmont, NY.

Dr. Tuttle’s special interests in equine medicine include geriatric health, emergency medicine, and client education.

Emily is excited to continue to spend time in New York, exploring local hiking trails, ice cream stands, and bike paths. If you look closely, you may even see her walking her pet tortoise, Tortellini!
